Flat out lead

Versatile lead with good clips so can be used as a handle, running lead clipped around the waist or for tying up. Our 3rd one!

My hands are very happy

I love not holding a leash in the cold, when I have my phone or a coffee in my hand. It's a great experience in general to have the leash around the waist. I have two dogs and each of them have this leash. Never going back to the basics.

Good features, not durable

I like this leash. The adjustable handle with buckle is great for training and multi purpose. I would buy it solely for the clip that goes on the dogs collar or harness. Theres a good spot for a **** bag. I don't have very good hand and finger strength and this makes it very easy. Biggest downfall is that it doesn't hold up. I have to buy a new one every 3 months because my dog literally rips through it. He doesn't chew it but pulls so hard it tears. I wish it was thicker and more durable.

Will stick to ruffwear's rope leash

We bought two on these in the lotus pattern from our local store. First one frayed within a week of having it and the second one snapped in half when I clipped my 45 pound dog to a table. I won't buy again even though I loved the idea of this leash.

My Favorite Leash

I have had quite a few leashes and this leash is my favorite. I have bought three (first is still in good shape, I lost one hiking and always want a back-up). My pup is a Miniture Australian Shepherd and 32lbs. I love the flexibly of being able to change it from a waist leash to a hand held leash on the fly and I use this feature frequently. It is very durable, my girl loves to grab the leash and try to get me to wrestle with her and it has never torn or ripped and still looks. Because it is flat I don't have as many challenges with is getting knotted up. The clasp to hook onto the collar is large and if you have a very small dog it might not be as well suited. My only frustration (and this is with any leash that is longer) is that is does get tangle in my pup feet
