Ruffwear's apparel features an active, tailored fit that hugs close to your dog's body, designed to move with their natural range of motion. Measurement is determined by your dog’s chest girth, measured around the widest part of the rib cage. Coverage may fit slightly shorter or longer depending on your dog’s proportions. If between sizes, size up for a more relaxed fit, or down for a more snug fit.

The oversized storm collar folds up for additional weather protection and the leash portal on the back fits over most harnesses.

Whether you're blazing the trails or exploring the backcountry, leg loops provide a secure fit option in windy weather, while reflective accents create visibility in low-light conditions. The relaxed fit and side-release buckles make it easy to put on and take off, and the extended vest means more coverage for your dog's hips and thighs.

While each style of Ruffwear apparel is designed for its intended use, this guide generalizes our fits in three ways. The Sun Shower is a Relaxed Fit with extended vest coverage and side-release buckles for easy on/off.

Lightweight and easy to put on
Having a dog with a thick coat and 'wool' undercoat that loves water, I have always resisted getting her a 'coat' but gave in due to her taking so long to dry. Given the recent wet weather and heavy persistent rain I gave in as wearing it makes drying her so much quicker when it's so cold. So easy to put on and she got used to it very quickly. I bought the Large size which is a perfect fit. Very happy and will recommend.

Great in the wind and the rain!
Fits great, material is durable, and my dog didn’t make a fuss putting it on or wearing it! Great product.

Solid rain coat - Love it!
We have had this rain jacket for over a year now. It's durable and works perfect with her harness. After three trips to the coast she is always dry.

River Approved
Comfortable lightweight material. River's previous raincoat was made of a stiff material and he protested every time we put it on him! This is very nicely designed with leg loops and excellent coverage from rain. It does not restrict him and is easy to get on/off. River and his family are happy with his new rain coat!
