New Gear for Summer 2020

Summer 2020 has us gearing up to dig into what it means to find purpose and healing in the outdoors with our dogs. We're using the downtime to strengthen our connections and ignite our imagination for the road ahead – dreaming up new ways to explore with our ever-faithful canine companions.

We look forward to seeing you and your sidekick out on the trails soon.

Highlands™ Sleeping Bag [new design]

Two dogs in highlands dog sleeping bag next to their human sitting in the tent.

The Highlands Sleeping Bag is a lightweight, compressible synthetic down sleeping bag for keeping dogs warm and comfortable on the trail or at the campsite. With a new half-length zipper, the Highlands reduces weight and bulk while still opening up for easy entry. Zip it closed to hold in body heat with the help of a tailored shape and design that gives dogs room where they need it. A neck baffle folds in to keep cold drafts at bay, and the integrated pad sleeve fits the Highlands™ Pad (sold separately) for additional insulation, and a compression sack is included.

What's new? Almost everything – half-length zipper, compressible synthetic down insulation, neck baffle, tailored shape, and now available in two sizes.

Highlands™ Pad [new design]

Dog laying on highland dog sleeping pad while humans get ready to fly fish.

The Highlands Pad is a packable bed providing warmth and comfort for your dog on the go, using lightweight, closed-cell foam and synthetic down to insulate from hard, cold surfaces. It has a non-slip waterproof base and a soft microsuede sleeping surface that's easy-to-clean. The accordion-fold design compacts and secures with an integrated storage strap for easy transport. The pad can be used on its own, or in conjunction with the Highlands™ Sleeping Bag, for a complete sleeping system.

What's new? New materials and construction throughout: microsuede upper material, waterproof bottom, and lightly insulated with synthetic down. Also available in two sizes.

Artist Series Hat [new]

Brian wears artist series hat while sitting with Dani and pup Vilas lakeside at Sparks Lake.

We’re introducing the Artist Series Hat as a canvas for art that celebrates dogs and humans exploring wild spaces together. It's built to inspire a passion for these places and contribute to their conservation. Learn more here.

Artist Series Quencher™ Bowl [new]

Dog drinks water out of artist series bowl in Alvord desert.

The Artist Series Quencher™ Bowl joins the Artist Series Hat in our quest to share art that celebrates dogs and humans exploring wild spaces together. Learn more here how they're built to inspire a passion for these places and contribute to their conservation.

And, yes! It's the same performance as the Quencher Bowl we all know and love for fueling our dogs on the trail, in the backcountry, and beyond.

 Pack Out Bag™ [new]

Woman grabs pick up bags out of the pack out bag on her hip while dog sits on trail at her side.

The Pack Out Bag is a convenient solution for carrying full pick-up bags hands-free between drop points. A water-resistant shell fabric and waterproof lining work in tandem with a waterproof zipper for easy-to-clean odor containment. Includes an adjustable belt to carry around the waist, or use the integrated clip to directly attach it to the waist or a pack – making the hand-held swinging around of full pick-up bags a thing of the past.

What's the inspiration for this? Check it out here.

Camp Flyer™ Toy [new]

Dog runs carrying camp flyer dog frisbee in Alvord desert.

When ounces and versatility reign supreme in the backcountry, the Camp Flyer holds its own as a lightweight disc that moonlights as a bowl between fetch sessions around camp. The flexible and puncture-resistant welded construction is soft on dogs' teeth and gums, yet structured enough to fly and hold its shape, even after being crammed into a pack. Bright colors make for easy tracking in the air and spotting in the brush, earning this disc a well-deserved place at the top of every dog's packing list.

Note: Plays well on land. Sinks in water.

Web Reaction™ Collar [new]

Dog walks on trail wearing web reaction collar and matching Crag Leash.

The Web Reaction Collar is a martingale collar with reflective Tubelok™ webbing. The limited-cinch martingale function is popular among dogs who have a knack for backing out of traditional collars. In addition to a side-release buckle for easy on/off, the Web Reaction is packed full of Ruffwear’s signature collar features: separate ID tag attachment point, a silicone tag silencer, and strong and comfortable webbing that holds its color.

What's new? Everything – it was a need we heard from working dogs who were seeking a full-webbing martingale that had a side-release buckle for easy on/off.

 Chain Reaction™ Collar [new colors]

Human walks dog through meadow wearing chain reaction collar.

The Chain Reaction Collar is a martingale collar that combines reflective Tubelok™ webbing and a short section of stainless steel chain. The martingale function with a limited-cinch is popular among dogs who have a knack for backing out of traditional collars. Packed full of Ruffwear’s signature collar features: separate ID tag attachment point, a silicone tag silencer, and strong and comfortable webbing that holds its color.

What's New? Same classic martingale design, now available in new colors AND patterns – and they're both reflective.
